Benefits

Setting new trends in ventilation
The Evita Infinity® V500 is a highly advanced ventilation unit for use in modern, acute care respiratory support. High-performance invasive and non-invasive ventilation, comprehensive monitoring and treatment functions, effective O2-therapy – the V500 delivers advanced care to patients of all ages and acuity levels, including neonates.

  • Explore the impact on your treatment possibilities you can achieve with features such as the low flow PV loop maneuver, QuickSet ®, Pressure and I:E Link and automated, knowledge-based weaning with SmartCare®/PS. Dräger’s APRV AutoRelease automatically optimizes Tlow to terminate expiration at an adjustable percentage of peak expiratory flow, keeping end-expiratory lung volume and CO2 removal optimally balanced, even in the face of changing respiratory mechanics and expiratory flow patterns. The Variable PS option generates random changes in the level of pressure support, mimicking the natural variation of biological systems. Taken all together, the V500 provides you with an unmatched level of care.

  • Successfully manage leaks, one of the most common issues in NIV, with the V500’s automatic, dynamic compensation features. The V500 recognizes and compensates leaks quickly by adjusting both inspiratory trigger and termination points, rapidly restoring optimal synchrony.
Smart
Incorporating automated weaning, visualization of pulmonary functions and RFID-based technology, the V500 is a smart choice. SmartCare®/PS combines automatic, knowledge-based weaning with the flexibility to individualize care through configurable weaning parameters. The Smart Pulmonary View provides you with real-time visualization of pulmonary function data. By turning data into useful visual information, it helps reduce the cognitive workload of ICU staff. Equipped with Dräger’s RFID-based Infinity ID technology, the V500 is ready to use Infinity ID accessories. These innovative fail-safe features were developed by Dräger to simplify handling and optimize workflow on both departmental and cross-departmental levels.
Mobile
High-quality ventilation therapy during transport – that’s mobility with the V500. With the optional GS500, you can equip the V500 with its own source of turbine-driven air while the optional PS500 power supply greatly increases your independence from AC electricity. A separate transport supply unit which safely carries large oxygen cylinders can be attached to the V500 in seconds. The Infinity® ID functionality “Transfer of Ventilation Settings” facilitates transport preparation, copying the ventilation settings just by connecting the circuit to another V500.
Scalable
The V500’s scalable design with it’s standardized interfaces for optional hardware components and software upgrades is always prepared to handle changing patient needs over the course of treatment as well as for further system expansion. Additional Infinity® components linked to the system will help you discover potential synergies in your own department and even at the cross-departmental level.
Standardized
The Infinity® medical cockpit C500 supports hospital-wide standardization with nomenclature and a user-friendly operating concept that is common to all Infinity Acute Care System® products. Standardized interfaces make data transfer easy, universal plug and care accessories enhance flexibility. All your V500s can be easily standardized in a matter of minutes with your choice of configuration presets by copying them to and from a common USB memory stick.
Integrated
Although the Dräger Evita Infinity® V500 with Infinity® Medical Cockpit C500 can be used as a high-quality, standalone ventilator in practically any situation, the V500 was designed as a component of the Dräger Infinity® Acute Care System™, designed to take ICUs to new levels of information integration and control. It gives you the kind of comprehensive view of your patients you never thought possible, and puts the tools in your hands that will help you take your therapy one step further.

Infinity®, QuickSet® and SmartCare® are brand names of Dräger.
