Lübeck – The new Dräger Alcotest 7510 has been designed to provide precise measurement of breath alcohol concentrations, even when residual mouth alcohol may be present. Intended for use in temperatures from -10°C to + 50°C, it delivers fast and accurate measurements.

New alcohol measuring instrument: The Dräger Alcotest 7510

Residual mouth alcohol, which can be found when substances containing alcohol have been consumed shortly before the test, can significantly falsify the result. The Dräger Alcotest 7510 is capable of detecting the presence of residual alcohol in the mouth and will automatically alert the user.

Easy and hygienic in use

Simple, three-button menu operation guides the user safely through the sampling procedure from the entry of relevant data on the person being tested, for example, through to sample delivery and the display of results. These results can then be transmitted to a connected printer or PC. The large, high-contrast display makes it easy to read the menu instructions and the test results, even in poor light conditions. Developed to ensure maximum hygiene, the mouthpiece can be removed easily without the user having to come into contact with saliva from the person being tested.

Adaptable to a wide range of requirements

Suitable for use worldwide, the Dräger Alcotest 7510 can be easily adapted to meet different international requirements and, depending on the national legal regulations, can also be used in court proceedings. Users can determine the scope of documentation to suit their specific needs. The optional GPS receiver can provide information on the exact location where the sample was collected in addition to the time and result of the measurement, and the results can also be visualised on maps. The portable printer, which is linked to the instrument via a wireless infrared interface, documents the results. Data exchange is also possible via USB or infrared interface to a PC. The use of lithium-ion batteries ensures a long operational life and means that the Dräger Alcotest 7510 can be used to perform a high number of measurements.

Suitable for many different applications

In addition to police checks, the instrument is ideal for use when determining breath alcohol concentrations in the workplace. The Dräger Alcotest 7510 also allows passive measurements without a mouthpiece and, where suspicion exists for instance, it can be used to detect alcohol inside a vehicle. It also can be used to determine alcohol in liquids of unknown composition.
