Lübeck, Germany, June 15, 2007 - At today’s extraordinary meeting, the Supervisory Board of Drägerwerk AG, Lübeck, Germany, appointed two new members to the Executive Board: Dr. Volker Pfahlert and Dr. Ulrich Thibaut will join the team chaired by Stefan Dräger which is to lead the Group in the future.
Dr. Volker Pfahlert, born on April 16, 1958, will take charge of the Dräger Medical division and the other functions related to this role as of September 1, 2007. He is currently head of the Roche Professional Diagnostics division.
Dr. Thibaut, born on January 12, 1960, will take charge of the Executive Board’s new research and development function at Drägerwerk AG as of June 18, 2007. He was previously a member of the management board of Altana Pharma, where he held responsibility for research and development.
The future composition of the leadership team, with the introduction of the cross-sectional research and development function, promotes our Company’s sustainable development and innovative strength in technology in keeping with our guiding philosophy “Technology for Life".
