New Board member for Medical Technology
The Supervisory Boards have appointed Dr Wolfgang Reim, 43 years of age, as Member of the Executive Board of Drägerwerk AG, Lübeck, and as President and CEO of Dräger Medizintechnik GmbH, Lübeck, with effect from 1 April 2000. Consequently, Dr Wolfgang Reim will assume global responsibility for the Medical Technology division within the Dräger Group. Dr Wolfgang Reim will be Dipl.-Ing. Frank Rochlitzer's successor, who for reasons of health left the company at his own request as of 31 December 1999 and will continue to remain available to Dräger in an advisory capacity. Dipl.-Kfm. Theo Dräger, Executive Board Chairman of Drägerwerk AG, will in addition to his usual duties take on responsibility for the Medical Technology division until Dr Wolfgang Reim takes up his new position. Dr Wolfgang Reim studied physics, completed a PhD at ETH Zurich, and worked as a scientist at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in New York, and since 1986 has held various positions at Siemens AG. Currently he is President of the Ultrasound Division of Siemens Medical, headquartered in the USA.
