Dräger Tescom GmbH, Selmsdorf, Germany, a joint venture set up in 1991 by Drägerwerk AG, Lübeck, and Tescom Corporation, Elk River, USA, each with a 50 percent holding, has gained a very successful position in the market. With its staff of 72, Dräger Tescom GmbH achieved total sales in 1999 of DM 20 million. In the interests of concentrating on core competencies, Drägerwerk AG will now be selling its stake in the joint venture to its American partner for whom the Dräger Tescom GmbH fields of activity, namely pressure and flow regulation, form part of its core business. With effect from 10 February 2000, the American Tescom Corporation will thus become sole proprietor of Dräger Tescom GmbH. The present general manager, Wolfgang Tomek, will continue to run Tescom's operations in Europe and Africa under the new name TESCOM EUROPE GMBH & Co. KG.
TESCOM EUROPE will continue to offer its services to the Dräger Group as an efficient and competent supplier of compressed gas components and systems such as pressure reducers and valves. |
