| Lübeck, 17 October 2003 – Neumünster-based Ganderke Plast Engineering GmbH is to purchase Dräger InPlast GmbH, Drägerwerk AG's parts and components supplier. The works council and staff were informed today that Ganderke Plast Engineering GmbH, a specialist in plastics processing in the fields of pharmaceuticals/medical technology, electrical engineering and the automotive industry, will be taking over plastics production from Dräger as of 1 January 2004. Ganderke Plast Engineering GmbH employs a staff of 75 and achieved sales of some EUR 8 million in 2002. |

| Dräger InPlast GmbH is a manufacturer of individual parts and components, specializing in plastics injection moulding and assemblies, for Dräger companies Medical and Safety. 43 staff are currently employed in plastics production, achieving annual sales of around EUR 6 million in 2002. |

| Ganderke Plast Engineering GmbH is a plastics specialist which will bring innovation and know-how to Lübeck, especially in the pharmaceuticals and medical technology industry, and will therefore be an ideal complement to the wide range of competencies already domiciled in the Dräger industrial park. |
