| Worldwide, Océ Facility Services has a workforce of over 5,000 at more than 1,000 bases including 70 in Germany. With its product and services portfolio and the existing structure and organization, the former Dräger Synematic PrintCenter along with its staff of 30 will rank among the three biggest Océ bases in Germany. The PrintCenter's services range from document management, archiving/storage (including microfilms), digitization, and scanning to the production of mini print runs including one-off yet highly detailed instruction manuals. Other services comprise the complete handling of large-scale mailing campaigns, large-format printing and stationery from the online shop. Most of these jobs had so far been placed from within the Dräger Group. "For our customers, the location and the infrastructure remain unchanged although as members of the Océ Group we will be able to expand our business further," states an optimistic Michael Mahnke, in charge of the PrintCenter.
In fiscal 2002, the PrintCenter generated printing and document management sales of around €3 million. Meanwhile, however, its product range is not part of the core business of Dräger Synematic GmbH, the IT services provider within the Dräger Group. Océ Facility Services GmbH is among the most successful and thriving segments at Océ, a world player with altogether 22,000 employees.
