| Dräger and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young signed IT Outsourcing Agreement / Lübeck to become central location for IT centre network in Northern Germany

| Berlin/Lübeck, February 2, 2004 – Drägerwerk AG and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Systems GmbH have signed an agreement on full IT service outsourcing partnership in Lübeck on Saturday, January 31, 2004. Within the scope of this partnership, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young acquires the IT subsidiaries Nordac Rechenzentrumsgesellschaft mbH (data centre operation) and Dräger Synematic GmbH (IT consulting) in Lübeck, and Dräger Information Technologies GmbH (operation of hospital information systems) in Berlin as of March 1, 2004. |

| Based on the contract, approx. 230 employees of the three Dräger IT subsidiaries in Lübeck and Berlin will be taken over by Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. The partners agreed to keep further contract details confidential. “Major objective is to better support our increasingly global processes in our core business areas via world-wide IT services to make them even more efficient and profitable and, at the same time, further focus our resources. We have opted for a partner who is able to provide this global IT support and is already very powerful outside Germany. For the extension of the German market, we are now an important client”, said Stefan Dräger, board member responsible for corporate matters in the Dräger group and IT outsourcing project manager, on occasion of the contract signing. And Antonio Schnieder added: “We are proud to have been chosen as the worldwide IT partner for the Dräger group and give our new employees a warm welcome. This partnership is a further step towards extending our global outsourcing activities.” |
