FAQ
What is the purpose of the Infinity Gateway Suite?
The Infinity Gateway Suite comprises a variety of software applications for data exchange and remote clinical access, as well as custom development tools. The Infinity Gateway Suite is designed so that hospitals only have to purchase the software they need.
Can patient waveforms and parameters be viewed from commercial browsers (i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer) outside the hospital?
Yes. WebViewer, a component of the Infinity Gateway Suite, provides near real-time remote viewing of Infinity bedside or telemetry monitored patients using a standard Internet browser. WebViewer is a sophisticated Web-based application designed to provide a mirror view of the actual Infinity monitor from a remote location. This mirror view includes all waveforms, parameters and trends.
Does the Infinity Gateway support HL7 interfacing?
Yes, the Infinity Gateway supports HL7 import of ADT and laboratory data from the hospital network to the Infinity Network. The Infinity Gateway also exports laboratory data and vital signs data via HL7 to clinical information systems. Infinity Gateway HL7 interface options include detailed documentation and simulation programs to assist in implementation.
What type of hardware is required for the Infinity Gateway Suite?
The Infinity Gateway Suite requires an application server, typically deployed on a commercially available PC with Windows® NT or Windows 2000. A single PC server can support multiple Infinity Gateway Suite applications, turning a single PC into a powerful, multi-functional gateway. PC Clients for WinView or WebViewer are required to run Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows NT workstation. WebViewer requires Microsoft Internet Explorer and a Web server (e.g., Microsoft IIS).
