A Fabius can be upgraded with an electrically driven and electronically controlled ventilator - a more economical solution than bellows ventilators since it does not require any drive gas. The Fabius ventilator is suitable for patient populations from infants to adults and can be used either intra- or post-operatively.
It is easily operated by hard keys and a rotary knob. The unit permits the following ventilation modes: automatic ventilation, manual ventilation and spontaneous breathing. Fabius even makes pressure-limited breathing possible during automatically controlled or manual ventilation.
