Training. What your employees need to know?
Proper use of respiratory protection should not be a matter of chance. All employees must have knowledge about the following items so that safety at your company is always ensured.
  • Human breathing, physiological factors, the consequences of low oxygen supply on the human body.
  • The composition and effects of possible hazardous substances.
  • The purpose of respiratory protection.
  • The stress resulting from use of respiratory protection devices.
  • Donning filtering devices, behavior during practical use.
  • The limits of protection, length of use, replacing used filters.
  • The design and protective effect of the filtering devices used.
  • Knowing when filter breakthrough occours (noticing an odor or taste, irritation).
  • Maintenance, e.g. checking, testing, servicing, repair, and cleaning.
  • Disposing of old filters and facepieces.
  • Manufacturer's instructions for use.
  • Practical exercises.
  • Length of training.
