| Hi, I am MinYee C. and I am a trainee from the Draeger Safety Start-Up Program. I am 23, I come from Singapore and have just graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Business Administration degree.

| Currently, I am in this Start-Up Program for 6 months in Luebeck, Germany. This is my training before I return to Draeger South East Asia in Singapore to begin my career as a sales engineer. I really enjoy this program as it has been most enriching. It helps me to better understand the culture and structure of the Draeger business.
The highlights include a field trip to the Hannover Feuerwehr, experiencing the rescue work of firemen, equipped with Draeger products in protection and detection. I also had a chance to utilise breathing apparatus in training tunnels used by miners, as well as witnessing live medical operations. These exposures helped me to understand Draeger's role in enabling technology for life to its customers.
Together with a trainee from Germany, we were given a marketing project in which we had to travel to customers in Europe to do our marketing research.
The project has been an eye-opener of how Draeger handles its market. I am glad I have this opportunity to work together with Germans and immerse myself in a totally different culture. I do believe experiencing inter-cultures is extremely important especially in today's global world. And it does makes the world a more interesting place to live in! Overall, it has been most satisfying to have such an opportunity to begin my career.
