Phase 2 - Interior Attack
Building on the principles learned in the Phase 1 system, the students are now at the same level of the fire floor, and take a more active roll in recognizing the rooms fire condition, advancing a hose line, and applying the nozzle patterns learned in the Phase 1 container. The average time each team takes to enter, evaluate, advance, begin suppression, find the seat of the fire, start ventilation, and exit is less than five minutes. The fire is allowed to return to its free burning state, and a new team of students, and instructor, repeats the evolution. There can be multiple evolutions before the fuel load is depleted.
