Methamphetamine (or "Meth") is a hallucinogenic drug that affects the central nervous system. Criminals use a crude yet effective manufacturing process to make methamphetamine in their homes, garages, and hotel bathrooms. Chemicals used to make methamphetamines are highly toxic; they can cause respiratory distress, circulatory collapse, permanent eye damage, and severe burns.
