Particle-filtering half masks protect the wearer from solid and liquid particles during all kinds of different work, e.g. in the shipyard while drilling, milling, grinding, cleaning boats, sandblasting or working with wood.

A high level of filtration efficiency, low breathing resistance, a very tight fit and optimum comfort are the qualities which distinguish a good mask. Depending on the work to be done and the concentrations of hazardous substances present, a low protection class (FFP1) may suffice, or a high one may be needed (FFP3). Carbon versions with an integrated layer of activated carbon provide additional protection against odour pollution.
