Submarines
If persons have to be in closed rooms for a long time which cannot be vented from the outside, it is necessary to have an air regeneration system in the room. This applies to e.g. submarines as well as specific personal and mining rescue shelters. The oxygen consumed must be replaced and the carbon dioxide exhaled must be filtered from the room air.

Oxygen is supplied from a high pressure cylinder storage and fed into the room by means of a dosage unit providing the quantity required by the number of occupants. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by soda lime. In scrubber A 2000, soda lime cartridges of type CH 16720 are used for this purpose.

The oxygen supply system and carbon dioxide scrubber system are connected to the room ventilation system.
