An effective protection concept against NBC hazards always follows the simple principle: identification, quantification and protection. This makes a reliable warning system the prerequisite for effective NBC protection. Since the 1960s, our employees have been focusing their research on developing NBC protection technology. Today, Dräger manufactures complete NBC protection systems, such as for the Leopard, Fox or Dingo – including personal protective equipment for the vehicle occupants. In order to work in tents and mobile equipment, while still benefiting from NBC protection, portable filter systems are indispensable. For this reason, Dräger filter and ventilation systems are developed for collective protection, and allow for simple transport and uncomplicated assembly on site.

The principle is always the same for all shelters: Contaminated external air is taken in, cleaned by several filter levels, and then fed into the protected, airtight inner room (TFA – Toxic Free Area). The positive pressure built up in the TFA prevents the possible leakage of contaminated air into the inner room.

Dräger NBC protective systems offer effective protection against known threats, such as respirable dusts, contaminated particles, aerosols, bacteria, viruses, toxins, chemical warfare agents (CWAs), and toxic industrial chemicals (TICs).
