Dräger was founded in 1889 in Lübeck, Germany by two entrepreneurs with a passion to find uncommon solutions. Dräger’s first invention was the Lubeca valve, the world’s first reliable carbon dioxide pressure reducer so that beer could be removed from a pressurized key in a safe and controlled manner. 

Over the last 130 years Dräger has continued to innovate, developing an iron lung to save polio victims, breathing devices to help save miners, gas detection devices to prevent exposure to toxic gases, and respiratory protection to protect against airborne particulates, gases & vapors.
