Training Tailored to Your Needs

All Technical Training courses are certified by Dräger Academy. The End User Training program provides information on the proper use, operation and maintenance of Dräger products. The Technical Maintenance courses are designed to provide service personnel with pertinent maintenance information, as well as a more detailed explanation of Dräger product technology. 

All courses include presentations, hands-on training and a test to confirm that the learning objectives have been achieved. Participants receive a binder with the course materials and a Dräger Academy certificate upon successful completion of the course and test.

Scheduled Courses are offered at our Mississauga, Ontario and Edmonton, Alberta locations throughout the year. Exclusive courses at customer locations are also offered.

Dräger offers three levels of Technical Training courses:

  • Level 1: End-User Training - Intended for users and technicians
  • Level 2: Technical Maintenance - Intended for technicians
  • Level 2: Technical Maintenance Recertification - Intended for technicians. Required every 2 years

Meet Our Trainers

wil mill

Wil Mills

Wil Mills (Wil) is a Technical Trainer supporting breathing air and oxygen breathing safety device programming. Having completed his pre-service education for NFPA firefighting standards in Texas, Wil also has NFPA certifications in standards; 472 Hazardous Materials (Technician), 1035 Fire and Life Safety Educator (I&II) and 1041 Fire Service Instructor (I&II). 

With over a decade of experience working in and supporting emergency services, Wil also carries Train the Trainer certifications from Draeger Academy in SCBA Apparatus and Masks (both EN and NFPA), CCBA Apparatus and Masks, Cleaning and Disinfection of Personal Protective Equipment, Qualitative and Quantitative Fit Testing, and Confined Space Control and Entry.

Fahad Ansari

Fahad Ansari

Fahad Ansari is an enthusiastic, highly motivated technology engineer with more than 10 ten years’ experience in testing embedded systems, troubleshooting and development. Fahad joined Dräger in 2018 and has built strong customer relationships by providing top quality service and training. He is also recognized by the police community for providing exceptional support with roadside drug detection devices. 

Fahad holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in Electronics Engineering and a Certified Engineering Technologist designation.

Ray Desjardins

Raymond Desjardins has worked for Draeger Service for over 15 years. He performs services on multiple product lines including Portable Gas devices, Fixed Gas Device, Impairment Check Devices, and Respiratory equipment (Fire Fighting SCBA’s and Mining CCBA). Ray started with Draeger as electronics technician/technologist but has assumed many other roles and responsibilities since then. These include customer and employee Gas Detection training, field service systems commissioning, and technical and administrative support for our Rental business and Rental management software tools. 

Prior to Draeger, Ray worked as a network and facility control specialist, electronics technologist for Nasittuq working out of North Bay, National Defense Department (north warning system).
