New executive board responsibility for sustainability and quality

Since 2024, quality has formed a dedicated Executive Board responsibility together with sustainability. Our products and services must be reliable at all times. The new Board function highlights the responsibility we take — every day — toward our customers and society. Whether it is quality or sustainability, we set high standards for both. Our customers can rely on that. At the same time, we set our standards to deliver real economic value for our customers. Our many long-standing, trusting customer relationships are proof of this.

A little better every day

At Dräger, we live a culture of continuous improvement  — at all levels and across all processes. Our work is grounded on a solid quality management system (QMS). Methods such as Six Sigma, Lean Management and Value Stream Analysis help us make our processes even more efficient and minimize errors — so we can make our technology for life a little better every day. The quality of our services and products is regularly reviewed through external audits, which consistently confirm our high standards. We also invest in the development of our employees with targeted training and education programs to promote quality and innovation in the long term.

An important part of our technology: customer feedback

We are in close dialogue with our customers around the world. It is their specific requirements and needs that drive us on to find the best possible answers to their challenges — including when it comes to quality. That’s why customer feedback is an integral part of our quality strategy. It feeds directly into the improvement of our products and services. We have established processes to systematically record and evaluate complaints and feedback. This enables us to identify potential weaknesses at an early stage and develop even more targeted solutions.

Our products are built for durability and reliability. Every design, every material, and every interaction between components is carefully scrutinized and evaluated for robustness. In specially designed rooms, we simulate real-world customer use and test the equipment as realistically as possible and under elevated stress conditions. This allows us to achieve many years of operational performance and maximum reliability long before the first delivery to the customer.
