Catalytic bead technology: the choice for potentially explosive environments
Catalytic Bead DrägerSensors are based on the catalytic bead detection principle, one of the only technology acknowledged in the industry for detecting and measuring detection principle for combustible gases such as hydrogen.
Performance in extreme environments
Catalytic Bead DrägerSensors Ex PR M—for poisonous substances
Catalytic Bead DrägerSensors Ex PR M contain pellistors that show longer endurance under the influence of poison substances than conventional types.
Catalytic Bead DrägerSensors Ex HT M—for high temperature environments
Catalytic Bead DrägerSensors Ex HT M contain PR pellistors and are approved for temperatures of up to 302°F/150°C.
Catalytic Bead DrägerSensors Ex LC M—for detecting low gas concentrations
Catalytic Bead DrägerSensors Ex LC M contain PR pellistors that allow for the detection of very low gas concentrations by their special arrangement and amplifier electronics. The measuring range is 0–10% LEL.
Innovation—Double Detector Measuring
The DrägerSensor achieves optimum compensation by using the patented Double Detector principle with 2 active pellistors to reduce measurement drifts between the detector and compensator. The better the compensation, the better the performance.
The gas permeable explosion-proof encapsulation is not achieved by a sinter disc, but by a thin wire mesh. The thickness of the wire mesh disc is only 0.08 mm. The diffusion path length is approximately the same distance. Shorter diffusion paths mean faster response times.
