Dräger Flame 5000
Easy to install
The detector is very easy to install using a mounting bracket of stainless steel. The swiveling mounting bracket ensures that the device is always optimally aimed towards potential sources of fire.
Safe and fast intervention
The visual technology utilised within the Draeger Flame 5000 allows an operator to confirm cleanliness of the optics and identify any obstructions within the detector's field of view. In addition the live video provides instant verification of a fire alarm without the operator having to enter a dangerous area.
Maximum visual angle
The Dräger Flame 5000 can detect fires of 0.1 m² at a distance of 44 m within a horizontal visual field as of 90°. The detector’s Field of View is a rectangular pyramid shape and represents a radial projection of the sensing element, therefore giving it the greatest coverage area of any flame detector currently available.
Worldwide approvals
The Dräger Flame 5000 is available with aluminum or stainless steel housing. The Dräger Flame 5000 can be employed worldwide due to the following approvals for use: ATEX, IECEx, FM and CFM.
Flexible connection possibilities
The detector transmits live video signals. Additionally, alarm as well as status signals can be transmitted to a controller and fire alarm system. 0 to 20 mA signals or relay outputs are available for this purpose. Furthermore, video recordings of the time period immediately before and after a detected fire can be saved, collected and retrieved by means of a digital memory card.
Clearly visible status LED lights
The device status is displayed by tricolor LED light at the front of the device so that the status of the device is always clearly visible for persons working close to it. Green means normal operating conditions, the yellow LED indicates a fault and the red LED turns on if flames are detected.
Immunity against false alarms
The image processing algorithms of the Dräger Flame 5000 are sophisticated to level that false alarms can practically be excluded.

Flame 5000 Product Information, en-us
In today's industrial workplaces, flame detection is essential for protecting both people and facilities. The Dräger Flame 5000 is an explosion-proof flame detector based on advanced color imaging technology. Each detector operates as a standalone unit and incorporates an integrated closed circuit television (CCTV) system, digital signal processing, and software algorithms to process live video images and interpret the characteristics of a flame.
