Workplace environments that compromise the quality of air you breathe demand reliable solutions. The Dräger X-plore 8000 PAPR offers a new level of intuitive handling combined with intelligent electronics.
The X-plore® 8500 and 8700 can be combined with headpieces such as a helmet, helmet/bump cap combination or X-plore mask. A wide variety of components and accessories allow customization of the system to fit several different application needs.
Dräger X-plore 8000 helmets: Tough on the job
Robust and versatile, with a modern design: X-plore 8000 helmets are made for use in harsh environments. The helmet provides protection for head, face and eyes. Face seals are available in different lengths and materials.
In applications where chemical protection is required, Dräger offers helmet or bump cap with hoods. The helmet/bump cap combination provides a stable platform for the hood.
Easy and comfortable
The headpieces, blower unit and other system components can be easily and intuitively assembled. The airflow inside the headpiece can be adjusted to personal comfort. The structure of the helmet allows for even weight distribution while offering the required level of protection.
For optimal vision on the job, the headpieces have a panoramic visor. An anti-fog and anti-scratch coating allow the headpieces to withstand harsh environments. These headpieces can be combined with hearing protection.

Several face seal options are available to combine with the helmet: Zytec® and Tychem® material in neck, chin and shoulder seals.
Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet/bump cap and hood combination
The hoods are an attachment for the helmet or bump cap. The Tychem® hoods, provide protection in chemical environments. The hoods are available in Tychem® 2000 and Tychem® 4000 material. The Tychem® 4000 provides a higher level of protection. Refer to permeation data sheets for selection of hoods.
For the Dräger helmet there are various seal attachments. These seals come in different lengths: neck, chin and shoulder. These seals are available in Zytec® (Grey color material) and Tychem®(white colored material).
Zytec®: For abrasive environments the Zytec® material is durable and provides protection, comfort and performance. The material is fire and chemical resistant.
Tychem®: For applications requiring protection from chemicals, liquids and vapors, the Tychem® neck seal or shoulder shroud.
