REACH Declaration related to substances in articles

According to Article 33 of the European REACH Regulation all suppliers of articles containing a substance on the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern above 0.1% weight by weight are required to provide the recipient of the article with sufficient information, available to the supplier, to allow safe use of the article including, as a minimum, the name of that substance.

Information for safe use

1) Components made of copper-, steel- or aluminium alloys usually contain small amounts of lead (1-3%) to improve machinability. The lead is firmly bound in the metal matrix and does not pose any risk to the user. No precautionary measures are necessary for safe use. Disassembling instructions are available upon request. 

Note: Lead in Copper Alloy containing up to 4% Lead by weight is exempted from the requirements of Article 4(1) of 2011/65/EU, RoHS2 directive, Annex III, Cl.No.6(C)

2) The release of the substance is not expected under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. No precautionary measures are necessary for safe use. This product is suitable for use by trained personnel.

3) The release of the substance is not expected under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. No precautionary measures are necessary for safe use.

4) Since the lithium button cells are hermetically sealed, the electrolyte cannot escape under normal and foreseeable conditions of use. For this reason, no precautionary measures are necessary to ensure safe use. 

However, if a battery or a lithium button cell leaks, do not touch it or the leaking substance. Always dispose of batteries in accordance with the disposal regulations prescribed for batteries in your country. It is forbidden to dispose of batteries with normal household waste!

5) Instructions for safe use are currently not available.

6.) REACH SVHC is contained within certain electronic subcomponents internal to the device. Device electronics are encapsulated by an external plastic housing. Due to this, the release of the substance is not expected under normal or reasonable foreseeable conditions of use. No precautionary measures are necessary for safe use. 

7.) SVHC is contained within power cord brass round plug pin. Brass contains an outer nickel plating layer. The release of the substance is not expected under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. No precautionary measures are necessary for safe use.
