Our Areas of Focus
In our sustainability strategy, we have defined four areas of focus: decarbonization, the supply chain, products, and employees.
Sustainability on the Executive Board
Sustainability is an integral part of our corporate strategy and is firmly embedded in our organizational structure. Stefanie Hirsch is responsible for the Human Resources, Sustainability, and Quality divisions at Dräger.
Climate Neutrality by 2045
Our goal is to achieve climate neutrality across the entire Group by 2045.
Sustainability Ratings
Our sustainability performance is assessed through external ratings and evaluations, including those by EcoVadis.
CSRD-Compliant Sustainability Reporting
The integrated sustainability report is fully compliant with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Our Sustainability Strategy
—Dräger’s business activities impact people and the environment. With our products and solutions, we make an important contribution to people’s health, safety, and protection worldwide. At the same time, we recognize that this entails environmental and social impacts throughout the entire value chain.
Our sustainability strategy translates this challenge into concrete goals and measures. It is designed for the long term, applies globally, and is guided by international guidelines and regulatory requirements. We do not view sustainability in isolation, but as an integral part of building a sustainable future for our company.
In our sustainability strategy, we have defined four areas of focus and established specific goals and measures. We aim not only to reduce our emissions for the benefit of the environment—and, in turn, society—but also to establish sustainable supply chains. We are working to develop products with sustainable features, that support our customers in achieving their sustainability and cost goals. For the company and our employees, we are continuously improving workplace safety and promoting health. Through greater diversity and future-ready training, we contribute to the company’s sustainable success.
Climate Neutrality by 2045
Our goal is clear: Dräger will become climate neutral by 2045. For us, climate protection is more than just an obligation—it guides our actions and opens up new opportunities for sustainable growth. Our current focus is on areas we can directly influence: the energy required at our locations worldwide and the Dräger vehicle fleet. Here, we aim to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 30% by 2030.Additional measures already address logistics, procurement, and the use phase of our products at the customer’s site—in other words, the entire value chain.
Transparency: Reports, Ratings, Certificates, Compliance
—For us, transparency is the foundation of credible sustainability communication. That is why we provide clear information about our sustainability activities, standards, and progress—from reports and certifications to ratings, compliance structures, and hazardous substances.
Sustainability Reports
Our sustainability report for fiscal year 2025 was published on March 24, 2026. We prepared it for the first time in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and had it independently audited. The report is part of the management report.
Compliance
Being open about weaknesses and mistakes is very important to us. Only then can we take appropriate action and, if necessary, review internal business processes. Secure and reliable communication channels are essential for effective compliance—for employees and business partners, as well as for all other stakeholders.
Certificates
Outstanding product quality and the responsible use of natural resources are central to who we are. That is why we use our quality and environmental management systems to ensure the continuous optimization of our work processes. These certificates document our commitment and progress.
EcoVadis
Dräger is assessed annually by renowned sustainability rating agencies. In the EcoVadis Institute’s sustainability assessment, Dräger improved slightly in 2025 to 73 out of 100 points (2024: 72 points), thereby securing another Silver medal: Dräger was thus once again among the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis.
ESG Corporate Rating from ISS
Dräger once again received the “Prime Label” in ISS’s ESG Corporate Rating, securing a top position in the “Health Care Equipment & Suppliers” sector.
MSCI
As part of its ESG rating, the U.S. financial services provider MSCI assigned Dräger a rating of A on a scale ranging from AAA (Leader) to CCC (Laggard).
Sustainalytics
The sustainability rating agency Sustainalytics assigned Dräger a “Medium Risk” rating as part of its ESG risk rating. This placed Dräger among the top 30% of companies in the “Medical Devices” sector.
CDP
In addition, the nonprofit organization “Carbon Disclosure Project” (CDP) confirmed our C rating (on a scale from A to D-). The assessment covered the areas of water and climate.

Dräger Foundation
The Dräger Foundation directly supports scientific, charitable, and philanthropic causes. From the outset, the Foundation’s mission was deliberately defined broadly so that it could act flexibly wherever civic engagement is particularly needed.
Supporting Healthcare in Africa: Dräger Trains Medical Technology Professionals
Dräger has launched a project in several African countries to improve the training of medical technology staff—and is also providing the necessary equipment, ranging from ventilators to anesthesia supplies.
