After working for several years as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Critical Care Unit (CCU) in a large private hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I was given an opportunity to change my career pathway. By joining Draeger back in 2013 in Malaysia as an Application Specialist for Anaesthesia I was able to not only maintain but also apply my clinical expertise in a completely different environment as well as gain new experiences and knowledge with a large global player.

In 2018, another opportunity opened up for me, allowing me to move to New Zealand and change my role to become a Product Specialist in the Critical Care Area with Draeger. I took the challenge and started in a new position and in a new country which provided me with a different perspective of customer experience, exposure to a different culture, and expanding my knowledge into a new product portfolio. Although it was a significant change for me, I truly enjoyed the step and the new exposure, especially meeting new people and working with a completely different team. An opportunity as a Product Specialist for the Neonatal portfolio was made available in Australia in early 2024 which I happily put my hand up for.

Working with Draeger has given me the opportunity to developed and sharpen my clinical experience and to develop my sales abilities and customer focus. In my current role, I am able to exercise collaboration, communication, and teamwork to contribute to improved customer experiences. I am proud to work with a company that ‘protects, supports and saves lives’.

After working in the Royal New Zealand Navy, I joined Dräger NZ Interlock at the Auckland workshop in November 2012.

I initially spent time with the wider service team in both Gas Detection and Breathing Apparatus and in 2014 the opportunity arose to move to the regions. While it was a steep learning curve, on reflection the most enjoyable part has been the people; the customers I get to meet and my colleagues.

I keep myself motivated and energised by having a customer driven focus, and a supportive partner. I enjoy the variety of customer sites and appreciate the importance they have in our society; from food & beverage, resource industries to district hospitals.

My Dräger journey started in 2015, in an Industry Based Learning position whilst studying at Swinburne University.  This saw me working at the national service workshop on the medical side of the business as a Trainee-Service Engineer. During this time, I was given the opportunity to travel and work in W.A. and NZ where I was part of Dräger’s biggest monitoring installation in the Southern hemisphere.

I continued working at Dräger while I completed my honours and then moved to N.S.W. where I transitioned into the position as a Service Team Leader and then onto Service Manager for N.S.W. and ACT. From there I moved back home to Melbourne and into the position of Account Manager and currently Sales Team Leader.

Working for Dräger has opened a bounty of opportunities for me to grow, learn and develop. It is an organisation whom look after their employees and empower them to grow, which reflects in the brand reputation we proudly have.

What motivates me is the diversity of work, opportunities to grow and being in an environment where leadership is encouraged; not to mention the feel-good aspect of working for Dräger where technology is used to help support and maintain quality life.

In 2014, I started working as a Finance Officer for Dräger in Melbourne’s Head Office. I then moved to the credit control department and started working with various departments and customers to improve the working capital for the business. I then progressed into the position of Accounts Receivable Supervisor where I was a Key User in SAP implementation for AR and later promoted in 2019 where I was given the responsibility of managing the Accounts Payable Team. I was appointed as Financial Accountant in June 2023 after the successful completion of my Accounting Degree.

My current role includes Balance Sheet Reconciliations / BAS Lodgements / Month end closings and other finance tasks.

My greatest achievement has been receiving 3 awards from the Managing Director. One was for Dräger Value Add contribution and the second award was for Supreme Support. The Third award was for the team of the year.

What I enjoy most about my role is the diversity and opportunities for career progression.

I keep myself motivated by being faced with new challenges and continuous learning opportunities.

During my 10-year career as an Intensive Care and Equipment Nurse, I experienced first-hand the Dräger brand, providing innovative products that support and save lives.  My passion as a clinician was to drive patient outcomes, improve patient safety and optimise workflow. Dräger as a company is closely aligned with these goals, providing solutions that create value for customers.

In 2008 my Draeger journey began with an opportunity to transition from Nursing to a Critical Care Product Specialist role.   After comprehensive onboarding with sales and product training, this role took me to New Zealand where I extended my portfolio to focus on Patient Monitoring and IT solutions.

Fast forward a few years and a national role saw me back in Australia where I took on a Marketing Manager role for Patient Monitoring and Data Business. Dräger has supported and encouraged me to explore my full potential, developing both personally and professionally.

As I gained further experience, my role evolved into a Hospital Wide Solutions Team lead for Marketing, my passion now is focusing on improving acute care and supporting our customers challenges with technology driven solutions.

What motivates me is being part of a greater team, I feel privileged to work for a progressive company with a culture of collaboration with a strong purpose and core values.
