Dräger Bubble CPAP Unit
Limited period offerLet Respiratory Distress Syndrome no longer be a worry
More than 80% of newborn deaths are in preterm birth complications.1 Preterm birth complications are often due to underdevelopment organs, among which the lungs. This may lead to Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS).
According to more than 100 experts who contributed to the report, representing almost 40 UN agencies, universities, and organizations, an estimated 75% of those preterm babies who die could survive without expensive care if a few proven and inexpensive treatments and preventions were available worldwide.2
Bubble CPAP and its proven advantage
The Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (bCPAP) was introduced in 1973 by Jen-Tien Wung, a professor of clinical anaesthesioogy in Pediatrics at Columbia University college of Physician and Surgeons. This system offers safe, efficient, and cost-effective treatment of respiratory difficulties in neonates. The bCPAP is commonly use in NICU to help treat with baby Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)1.
- Patient safety: Safety tube lock avoids unintended changes of the PEEP level
- Ease of use: The water trap in the expiratory limb prevents unwanted pressure peaks due to condensation in the expiratory limb2-
- Improving clinical outcomes: The 135 degrees angle in the submersed tubing increases the amplitude of oscillations, thus providing effects similar to high frequency oscillatory ventilation for improving gas exchange and offer more efficient respiratory support compared to other method of non-invasive respiratory support.3,4
- Enhance patient experience: Heated wire Better humidification and less condensation in the tubing – This means that there’s little or no presence of water in the hose, which decreases the risk of infection and water going to baby.
