Dräger X-plore® 8000 Helmets
The Dräger X-plore 8000 system: Designed for full compatibility
No matter how tough the conditions, the X-plore 8000 system from Dräger provides maximum respiratory protection without increased breathing resistance, even during long periods of time. Depending on the system configuration, it can also offer protection for the head, face including eyes, and hearing.
The system consists of either an X-plore 8500 or 8700 powered air-purifying respirator for applications dependent on the ambient air or the X-plore 9300 compressed air line system for working with an independent air supply. Both are combined with a headpiece such as an X-plore 8000 helmet, faceshield, visor, hood or X-plore mask (X-plore 9300: only for loose fitting headpieces). The components can easily be combined for different use cases.
No matter which product combination you choose, you can always rely on your equipment for maximum performance.
Dräger X-plore 8000 helmets: Tough on the job
Robust and versatile, with a modern design: X-plore 8000 helmets are made for use in the harsh environment of day-to-day industrial operations. They all protect your head, face and eyes against mechanical impacts, and some models also protect against chemical exposure. Face seals are available in different lengths and materials, giving you a tailor-made helmet for any job.
When working in highly contaminated environments or when high chemical resistance is required, Dräger offers the innovative approach of combining a helmet or bump cap with an additional hood. The hood offers protection against contamination. This saves time and money, because contaminated hoods can simply be replaced.
Easy and comfortable
The helmet and breathing unit are easily and intuitively connected by a hose. The helmet can be individually adjusted: First, you can adjust the head harness for the perfect fit in terms of size and height; second the direction of the breathing air outlet near the forehead can be adjusted to make it even more comfortable. In addition, the padding on the forehead and head ensure maximum comfort.
For optimal vision on the job, the helmet is fitted with a panoramic visor which includes an anti-fog and anti-scratch coating. All helmet versions can also be combined with hearing protection.
Overview of versions
Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet with visor
The helmet with visor can be combined with five different face seals. You can choose between Zytec® and Tychem® material in short (Zytec® only), medium or long designs, resulting in dedicated respiratory protection classes (see technical data).
Dräger X-plore 8000 helmet/bump cap and hood combination
This combination means wearing an additional hood over the head protection. You can combine the hood with either a helmet or a bump cap (both without visor). This keeps the high value head protection from becoming contaminated. Thanks to the Tychem® material used for the hood, this combination also provides a high level of chemical resistance, which is even higher if Tychem® 4000 with taped seams is used.
