A sustainability-oriented strategy

Our strategy is sustainability oriented which is essential to our success.

The good reputation we have managed to achieve over the years, is based on our powerful convictions and the trust our customers have placed in us.

1. Improving healthcare for people all over the world

Creating solutions that contribute to more sustainable and improved outcomes to enhance the quality of patient’s lives.

2. Striving for everyone’s safety at work

Expanding our culture to society, we make safety at the workplace a priority and aim to achieve a world without occupational accidents and zero long-term health effects. We also strive to reduce the transmission of infections, reduce lost-time incident rates and train all employees in occupational health and safety topics.

3. Protecting the environment and helping health care providers to do so

Preventing emissions with safety technology products and services, we position ourselves as a competent partner for climate protection. In the medical arena we focus on the green hospital concept, minimizing our environmental footprint.

4. Carefully selecting suppliers to implement our vision throughout the supply chain

The selection of our suppliers is focused on sharing constant improvements and sustainable policies that contribute to current social challenges. In doing so, we protect the health of whom we work with and collaborate.

We are committed to help organizations grow greener and more sustainable by protecting the environment, nature, and people by implementing substantial initiatives that impact sustainability worldwide.

Our focus is helping hospitals achieve their sustainability goals by improving the quality of infrastructure, processes and products used to protect, support and save lives. We drive innovation to make a positive environmental impact.

Our contribution to the hospital

We work towards helping others to have the highest possible positive impact, following the principals represented in our 5R’s.

The way to a sustainable operation is focusing on prevention. This happens when you rethink all of your processes and product life cycles (in order to produce less waste), redesigning for best use or reducing certain type of materials in what you produce.

We work alongside hospitals, making design and operations smarter, easier and greener to become a safer choice for people. Our 5R’s actively contribute towards hospitals becoming green.

Dräger has received top ratings from reputable agencies: we retained our 'Prime' label in the ISS ESG Corporate Rating for healthcare equipment and supplies, earned Gold status in the 2023 CSR assessment by EcoVadis, and maintained our AA MSCI ESG rating in 2022. These ratings highlight our excellence in managing industry-specific ESG risks and sustainability.
