Early weaning from ventilators
SmartCare is an automated weaning system which helps reduce length of patient stay.
The process decreases ventilator support gradually, an automated spontaneous breathing trial and increased ventilatory support when needed. Reducing overall ventilation time by up to 33% and could potentially save €650 million ($710 million) in Germany alone. That is a saving of $10.000 per case of VAP avoided.
