The use of heat and moisture exchanger (HME) filters helps to address proper humidification, a concern commonly associated with mechanical ventilation. In order to support the clincian and to properly address challenges like this one, Dräger offers an extensive portfolio of high-performing humidified moisture exchanger filters and breathing system filters, including HumidStar® filters.

HumidStar® Family Filters

The HME medium of HumidStar humidification moisture exchangers from Dräger consists of a new microporous polymer foam that was specially developed for this application and returns a high degree of heat and moisture. In addition to the HumidStar filters for mechanical ventilation, Dräger offers the HumidStar Trach for tracheostomized patients, which features an oxygen port and a safety valve.
