FFP masks – everyone is talking about them. Babyleo – a womb made of Plexiglas
A womb made of Plexiglas

The radiant heater, which is open on all sides, is a good alternative during quick examinations or small operations on premature babies, not least because it gives intensive care unit personnel direct access to the small patient. An incubator with active air humidification does, however, have its own advantages, as it minimizes fluid loss and provides better monitoring of the premature infant. Combinations of a radiant heater and an incubator, such as the IncuWarmer Babyleo by Dräger, can now provide the benefits of both therapies combined in one device.

Intensive care ventilation today – basic information and modern medical technology
Intensive care ventilation today – basic information and modern medical technology

What happens if we can no longer breathe on our own? Is it possible for a device to do this for us and to adjust to a patient if the breathing is restored? A basic principle of mechanical ventilation: Blowing air into the lungs causes an increase in pressure and the lung expands. The pressure drops again during the subsequent passive exhalation.

Medical RFID (radio frequency identification) accessories

RFID is used for the wireless transfer of information between accessories and medical machines, simplifying clinical workflows. As an example, an RFID ventilation hose can also store specific ventilation settings. When moving the hose to another RFID-enabled Dräger anaesthesia machine, these settings can automatically be transferred.
