Organizer
Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA, Revalstraße 1, 23560 Lübeck, Germany (hereinafter referred to as "Dräger" or the "Organizer") is the organizer of the international photo competition Dräger Fire Calendar 2025: Your lens on firefighter safety.
Who is eligible to participate?
Participation is open to anyone who is over 18 years of age and grants the rights of use or consents as specified below . This applies in particular with regard to the global use of the submitted photos and texts on Dräger's social media channels, the digital calendar version on draeger.com and in the printed calendar version.
What are the participation requirements?
The participant assures that by participating in the photo competition the participant will not violate (a) applicable laws and regulations, (b) agreements, guidelines and instructions of the participant’s employer (c) a professional regulation applicable to the participant. Dräger is not and will not be held responsible for such violations. By agreeing to the terms and conditions of participation, the participant declares that the participant has checked the permissibility of participating in the photo competition and publication of the photo. The participant further declares that the participant has considered any special obligations the participant may have as an officer or employee of a company. By uploading the photo taken by the participant, the participating person declares their consent to the publication of the photo on the Dräger website and Dräger social media channels.
Time period of competition
The photo competition will run from the date of this publication until April 30th, 2024.
Participation via Instagram, photo quality
Only participants who post a photo or photos as a digital file via their Instagram account can participate. The photo must have the hashtag #DraegerCalendar2025 and be tagged with @draegerfire. The original file must meet the requirements listed below (see item 2). In addition, the caption should include a short explanation of where the picture was taken and what exactly can be seen.
Termination of the participation
The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from the photo competition if they violate the conditions of participation or if they attempt to influence the course of the competition in an inadmissible manner, for example by using proxies. The Dräger Fire team also reserves the right to terminate or interrupt the competition for good cause without further explanation.
Selection
The selected photos will be published in the Dräger Fire Calendar 2025.
There will be no compensation or consideration on the part of Dräger Safety AG & Co KGaA.
The chosen photos will be published in the calendar with the respective Instagram account of the sender (@....) and corresponding photo description. Publication of the sender’s name will only be included with the consent of the participant. Moreover, the Dräger Fire team reserves the right to adjust/revise the text describing the photos.
How are the winners determined?
During the competition, the Dräger Fire team will begin to select potential winning photos. Those participants who make it to the top selection will then be contacted by the Dräger Fire team via Instagram direct message. In turn, Dräger will request that a declaration of consent to use the photo and the original photo file be sent via e-mail to: draegerfire@draeger.com.
After the submission period, a jury from the global Dräger Fire team will select the photos for the calendar from all valid submissions. In making their decision, the jury will take into account the Dräger product diversity and placement depicted in the photo, as well as the firefighter application areas shown. Winners from among the finalists will be selected based on the original files submitted via e-mail.
Winning notification, re-registration deadline, forfeiture of the prize
If the winner does not provide a valid e-mail address within 5 days after sending the direct message or is the consent form missing, the prize will be forfeited. As a result, the organizer will be entitled to select another winner.
Limitation of liability
The liability of the organizer and the persons engaged by the organizer for the implementation of the competition is limited to cases in which essential contractual obligations have been breached, on whose fulfilment the participant could particularly rely on (so-called cardinal obligations).The extent of liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. The exclusion of liability does not apply in the case of intentional, grossly negligent or fraudulent conduct, nor in the case of personal injury, guarantees or claims under the Product Liability Act.
Miscellaneous
Legal recourse is excluded. German law applies.
