Keeping extraordinary missions safe

As the sprawl of urbanization moves outwards, upwards and downwards, so does the complexity of building constructions and urban infrastructure. Steering a firefighting mission in these scenarios becomes more and more demanding: missions last longer, firefighters need continuous monitoring and navigation, and a sudden escalation of fire can lead to sudden major damage situations.

Dräger has experience and expertise to support you in all of these challenges - optimizing the safe outcome of your mission.
We combine the benefits of both standard and long runtime devices in breathing protection with state-of-the-art monitoring systems embedded into a comprehensive solution portfolio.
We help you tracking your resources on the fireground, get an instant overview of a complex and changing situation and steer and coordinate the mission safely and efficiently.

When fighting a fire in a complex structure, three factors are critical:

Time:
Battling through thick smoke, climbing or descending several floors, extinguishing blazing flames, and, safely guiding victims from harm  —this takes time. Firefighters need to be prepared to stay in longer than usual, covering longer distances.

Coordination:
Knowing the team´s whereabout is critical for the success of the mission. Teamwork inside and outside requires seamless cooperation.

Keeping the overview:
The bigger the incident, the more resources become available - keeping their safety at the top of mind as well as utilizing them in the best way for a good result is the challenge. Should any emergency arise, you need to be ready to react quickly.

Victim Rescue

Victim Rescue

Past fire catastrophes, where people were affected, have shown that one of the main causes of serious injury or death is not the fire itself, but rather the emerging smoke. We are committed to the health and safety of both firefighters and fire victims. Find out more about the dangers of smoke, and how to prepare yourself and the person you are trying to rescue so you can both escape a house fire safely.
