CuffGuard is an automated continuous pressure regulator designed for precise inflation, continuous regulation, and automatic deflation of endotracheal tube (ETT) cuffs during ventilation therapy. Continuous cuff pressure control keeps the pressure around the setpoint and requires less hands-on time from staff. However, th … More informationis can change during ventilation (e.g., certain care procedures, coughing, ventilator asynchronies), CuffGuard will always regulate and maintain the ETT cuff pressure around the desired setpoint. It provides temporary over-inflation for specific procedures (e.g., patient hygiene, specific surgery, dental care). For extubation, it provides rapid and active deflation. The large colour display with automatic screen rotation is particularly easy to read. CuffGuard can be powered by mains, USB, and battery, allowing for versatile installation options. The mounting clamp allows for optimal positioning on a pole or rail of the ventilator. The disposable connecting tube with antibacterial filter helps prevent the risk of cross-contamination. A LUER connector on the ETT side ensures full compatibility with endotracheal tubes. The LUER lock connector on the CuffGuard side of the tube avoids the risk of accidental disconnection.
